Friday Devblog #6


Since Shady Two was out of town for the whole last week, I decided to turn my attention to the much requested feature - android version of the game. Thankfully, Ren'py does a lot of heavy lifting in this regard, so the whole thing turned out to be much easier than I expected. Still, a lot of thing need to be done before I can be confident enough to roll it out. Some part of the interface need to be remade. Some need to actually be made from scratch (not a lot though). And a lot of testing needs to be done to make sure that it all works as intended.

Also, I am happy to say that we started working with a composer, and a couple of compositions for the game are already completed. Maybe we will be able to show them off one of the soon-to-come updates. I want to have at least "decent" music coverage, before I start putting it into public builds.

Other than that, I did write one more event, which means that we now have at least one random event for every activity in the game. Also, this one should hopefully shine a little light onto the questing that many people had about why they cannot ace the first exams. We'll see.

So, I guess that's all that I have for you for week, we should have some art updates in the next one, since Shady Two can now get back to work. Let's hope that it'll be something juicy.
